Journal History
Jati Emas Journal was founded by the Indonesian Lecturer Forum (FDI), a lecturer association that focuses on developing human resources for lecturers at the grass root level, namely novice lecturers and lecturers who only have basic facilities. With the understanding that advancement in academic levels is centered on scientific publications, while various scientific journal publishers at that time (2017) were still focused on publishing research results and/or scientific studies, the Jati Emas Journal facilitated the publication of manuscripts resulting from community service, as well as applied scientific, which refers to the rules of scientific publication.
In its development, FDI increased its legal entity status, from Arie Prio Buntoro's notarial deed dated 24 August 2013, and was registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) of the Republic of Indonesia with letter number 01-00-00/019/D.iii.4/IV/ 2015, became the Universal Indonesian Lecturers Association (DIS) which was inaugurated in Bandung on 24 August 2020 with notarial deed number 03 dated 24 August 2020 to notary Effie Putri Adji, SH. M.KN. The name of this association has been registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) of the Republic of Indonesia with Decree No. AHU-0010221.AH.01.07 of 2020 dated 18 November 2020.
Jati Emas Journal applies the principle of nurture, compassion, nurture in the publishing process. All manuscripts submitted to the editorial team will be handled within a nurturing and mentoring framework, so that they can be guaranteed to result in publication, as long as the author follows all instructions for improving the manuscript to meet good scientific publication standards. This standard continues to rise according to the quality of the manuscripts received. These rules include a maximum similarity limit of 20%, having a good frame of mind, urgency, novelty (if possible) or at least state of art, and good grammar through proofreading. The next target is the aspect of innovation and author-based fast responses. Manuscripts that do not follow the directions and guidance for improvement must be rejected for publication.
To expand the usefulness aspect and increase the number of citations, the Jati Emas Journal has established a published in ready system where when a manuscript is deemed to have met the established publication standards, the manuscript is immediately published following the number that is currently active. This allows for almost instant publication, where a good manuscript can be published within 2-3 working days. The normal average publication time in the Jati Emas Journal is 2-3 weeks. This policy develops the Jati Emas Journal, from publishing twice per year (March & October, 2017-2020), to 3x per year (March, July, November; 2021-2023), and from 2024 it is planned to publish 4x per year (March, June, September, December). There is no limit on the number of articles per issue number.
